Whoo-Hoo about 3 weeks ago I was able to quit my pointless job and come back home to do my very important job. Being a Mommy! I'm really glad to be back. I've spent the last few weeks getting the house clean again. I have no idea what my husband did the 6 months he was "Mr. Mom" from what I've been seeing, it must of not been much. lol You have no idea the horrors I found under the couch, it was awful. When he came home from work I asked him, "When was the last time you cleaned under the couch?" His reply "your supposed to clean under there?" I'm not sure how long I just glared at him, what could I say? But long story short, I'm back home, the house is in decent order, and I have some free time since my insomnia is acting up.

Ok so I lied I'm still stuck at my dead end job at Target. Who out there just loves working in retail..... *crickets chirp* come on anyone? Yeah that's pretty much what I thought. Chris's job fell through so I'm still stuck in the red shirt from hell. Did I ever mention that I hate wearing colorful clothes? I like to stick with blacks, greys, browns etc. So having to wear a bright red shirt everyday just bites ass. Probably the thing I hate the most aside from getting up at 3 am every day is I haven't made anything since I started working. I live to create and make things, knitting hats and scarfs, making jewelrey, sewing costumes for cosplay. Thinking of cosplay I missed my anime convention this month *cries* I had to work all 3 days it was going on. Plus I never finished my Lulu costume. So guess I have plenty of time to get it ready for whenever the next one will be. Well this entry seems rather depressing so whats something happy I can write about...there has to be something....*thinks*....(5 minutes later) Ok I've finally been able to get FFVII battle fanfare for my ringtone!!!! It's pretty sweet. So I'm off to rot my brain with some yaoi, I'm long overdue for it.

Well to put it he easiest way possible Target has stolen my life away from me. It's been over a month since I have been on LJ and the only reason I am today is I had enough of Flow Team and called out. I had a good reason even my husbands great great Aunt passed away and her funeral is today. He didn't really know her and hadn't seen her in about 20 years, but were still going to the services. I honestly can't say I will even be going back to Target. I'm on softlines flow team, which means I have to get up at 3 am every day to be at work by 4:30 am. I open all the boxes that come off the truck and put the crap on the shelves. Yep thats what I do and it sucks. The job is cool it's just the hours. I'm a night person by nature and I've been having to go to bed around 7:00 pm to get 8 hours of sleep. The fucking sun is just setting at 7 o'clock. I used to not go to bed until about 4 in the morning. But my dear husband looks like he found a job this week. He's been looking like crazy since the layoff. If it all works out I get to go back to being a housewife/home school teacher and he goes back to work. Just between us I don't think he likes being "Mr. Mom" all much. Chris loves spending all the time with the kids, but he hates the housework and ummm, how to put this nicely..... he sucks at it. And here I thought I was bad at keeping the house in order. ;) So I plan on spending some time reading yaio today and catching up on all my favorite stories. How I have missed Cloud. :(

The job with Target seemed to of fell through. For some reason when they did my background check it showed more than 1 person with my social security number. So I had to go to the social security office and get a letter that proved that the number I gave them was mine and mine alone, seems my card wasn't good enough. So I get it and send it too 'em like they want. I call Target back and they said as soon as my background check gets finished they'll call me and get me starting working. Then a week later I get a letter from target saying they are withdrawing their offer of employment due to my social security number discrepancy. The letter goes on to say that I can contact the party that did the background check to try and resolve this problem. GRRRR I already did that. So I call them, the background people and they tell me Target knows the problem is fixed and has known for almost a week. So I look at the letter thinking maybe it was old and took a while to get her, nope it is only 2 days old. So they sent it after knowing the problem was fixed. So now I have to call Target again. I think this job may not be worth $8 an hour. Maybe I'll just strangle them all and call it a day. On a happy note we had a warm day yesterday (it wasn't below 30 YAY!) so we all loaded up and went to the zoo. This is the last month our membership is valid, so I was the perfect time to go. The anaconda was out of the water. I'm still amazed at how huge it is, even though I have seen it about 15 times. None of the birds or monkeys were out due to the cold, but the big cats were actually, moving instead of sleeping. So all in all it was a good day, even if Jacob thought the zebras were monsters. I'm going out in just a bit to hang out with my mom and sister. We usually get together every 2 weeks, but it's been 4 weeks since last time I saw them, so I'm looking forward to it.

Well it's Valentines day now, I hope everyone has a good one. It's been a few weeks since I wrote and a lot has happened. My dog Emily had puppies, there are 7 of them and they are 4 days old now and very cute. I'm at a stand still on my husbands Auron costume, it was all going fine and I guess I got sewers block or something. I dunno, I've been trying to shake it off, but still haven't really worked on it. I guess I'm just not feeling it. My Lulu is still on hold since I can't find the fabric I want for it. But my big news is after a week of job hunting I got a job at Target. I'm not sure when my first day is, but they said it should be later this week and they would call me and let me know. The kids aren't all that thrilled about it since I have been home taking care of them since my oldest was born and she is 7 now. But they'll be home with their Daddy so I am hoping it will be a nice change for all of us. And I must admit I am looking forward to getting out of the house and leaving the laundry for Chris. ^_^

I finally finished Jades Yuna costume! I am so happy about it, and I must say I think it looks great. ( See more pictures here ) The only part of her costume I didn't make was the boots, everything else was put together painted or sewn by me. I wish I could say I had some free time now, but I still have 4 more costumes to make before April, so I don't have time to waste. Auron is next since I found the perfect red fabric for his coat, I hope to start soon.

I'm hoping to take some time today to play Final Fantasy XII. My Mom got it for me for my birthday Friday and I've only played about 2 hours into the game. Friday wasn't such a good day. Chris and about 400 other people were laid off from the plant he worked at. So were jobless, but searching. Thankfully we knew it was coming and had time to prepair for it all. Chris is hoping being a vetran will help out on getting his next job. He's wanting to get a goverment job so he can retire in 16 years. So hopefull the 4 years he spent as a Marine will pay off after all. I'll be happy as long as he doesn't go and reinlist, I've been very happy not having to be a military wife anymore and I really don't want to fall back into that role. It is a very lonely and thankless way to live. On that cheery note I think I'll end this post.

I haven't done anymore on Jade's Yuna costume since my last post. :( She is gone for her biweekly visit to her dads. So my little model is gone, and with out her I can't do crap. I meant to measure her arms for the sleeves before she left, but spaced it. So instead of sewing all weekend I've spent it being bored around the house. I watched Vampire Hunter D again, and Chris made me watch First Blood with him, which wasn't as stupid as I thought it would be. Right now everyone else in the house is sleeping and as usual I can't. So I thought I'd catch up on my yaoi, I must say I've been missing it.

Hello out there, yes I am still alive. I have been consumed by making my daughters Yuna costume for MTAC. I've been working on it every chance I get for a few days now. I've only been getting online to look up pictures of Yuna. So far I have finished the skirt and the belt part of the obi. The staff is close to done too, but I haven't taken any pictures of it yet, so I'll get some soon.Doesn't sound like much, but I have really done alot. I made the skirt out of some stiff dark navy material I had, then spent hours hand painting all the flowers and vines on it. I love how it came out. I also hand painted the obi and I think it looks great too. It also took hours. :) I am working on the bow part of it now. I just finished sewing it so I can start painting it now. Other than making the costume I haven't been up to much. I guess you could say it has taken over my life. I wanted us all to cosplay as FFVII characters, but everyone else wanted to do X, since we couldn't all agree on 7 characters. So I was out voted. I guess I could still do a VII but it seems like it would be more fun if we all went as the same. Here are some pictures of the Yuna costume, skirt, obi, and me hard at work painting the obi. ^_^
